  For some reason there's a difference between urban and rural congregations when it comes to splitting. Urban congregations are typically around 175 publishers with enough elders and ministerial servants to make viable servant bodies in both congregations. Rural congregations typically split at lower numbers, and they don't worry so much about the servant body. At least that's been my experience.

  i have contributed financially to the cause of silentlambs.org and have, to a smaller extent, even promoted the website.

  it is difficult enough to fathom the depth of hurt heaped on humankind, but impossible for me to understand how such suffering can be compounded with injustice, as i read experiences on silentlambs.org.

  Gamaliel I think you need to ask yourself if your money is going to be well spent in supporting Silent Lambs. I have serious reservations about how effective they can be given the nature of the leadership. There may be other agencies doing a better job on this issue, and on a broader front.

  my hubby & i had a debate tonight, so i'm kinda taking a poll..... my hubby says we should stop immigrations and start closing up the borders - except in cases of political asylum or a family member.

  Very, very selective legal immigration. Mine both land borders and stop illegal immigration, send all illegals back regardless of circumstances.

  JW/HLC visit to our hospital

  yesterday jehovahs witnesses and the hospital liason committee visited our hospital to donate a blood cell saver machine which had been funded by the local congregations in our county of kent in england.

  a buffet lunch was provided, along with 4 talks to a large audience of surgical and medical consultants, anaetheologists, paedatricians, and obstetraticians (sp!

  ) about the future of blood and the transfusion of such products.

  When they piloted the 15 minute thing and having field service reports turned into the book study overseer they got a consistent 1.5% increase so it would probably be appropriate to attribute that percentage of 2002's increase to these organizational changes. Just book keeping rather than an actual increase, the rest of it would be growth but there's really not that much of it if you look at it that way.

  Was Public Reproof Traumatic for You?

  i was reproved at the age of 17 and, believe me it was a nightmare at home.

  first, my parents felt such shame over me - i was such an evil disappointment to them.

  i would hear my mother talk on the phone to other sisters about how sad she was about the way i had turned out.
